Make HTTP and JSON modules in n8n
Make's HTTP app and JSON modules have direct n8n counterparts. The converter keeps the method, URL, headers, query string and body, and maps the response so later modules keep reading the same fields.
What becomes what
| Make | In n8n | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| HTTP: Make a request (v3 and v4) | HTTP Request | Method, URL, headers, query, form or raw body. The full response is kept, and Make's data field is read from n8n's body. |
| HTTP: Make a Basic Auth request | HTTP Request | Add an HTTP Basic Auth credential on the node. |
| HTTP: Get a file | HTTP Request (file response) | Downloads the file as binary data. |
| JSON: Parse JSON | Code | One line; a top-level array is returned as array. |
| JSON: Create JSON | Edit Fields | The fields become an object serialized with JSON.stringify. |
Check after converting
- Make's "Share cookies" has no n8n equivalent: pass the cookie header from the earlier response if the site needs it.
- Usernames and passwords typed into HTTP modules are left out of the converted workflow and listed in the report: store them as n8n credentials.
