Zapier → n8n · Apps
Slack: from Zapier to n8n
Slack messages from a Zap become the n8n Slack node with the same channel or user, text, bot name, emoji icon and thread.
n8n node: Slack · Credential to connect: Slack bot token (or OAuth2)
Actions
| Zapier action | In n8n | What carries over |
|---|---|---|
| Send Channel Message | Slack → Message → Send (channel) | Channel id, text, bot name and emoji icon, thread and reply broadcast, link unfurling. |
| Send Direct Message | Slack → Message → Send (user) | Zapier keeps the user id in its channel field; it moves to the node's user. |
Triggers
New Message, New Reaction and other Slack triggers: use the n8n Slack Trigger (events) for the same channel.
Check after converting
- “Send as a bot? No” posted as you: use a user token credential for that.
- “Include a link to this Zap” has no n8n equivalent and is off.
